Honestly there are some cooking terms that sound simply ridiculous. When I'm told to 'sweat' my veg I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean get the Zumba music on and make them dance but what the heck is it? Then there's broiling, blanching, braising & scalding.........do I tell it off until it cooks itself?
